Tour Plan

Day 1: Tangier - Fes

Approximately 340 km - Departure to Fes, crossing the northern part of Morocco, fertile hills at 350 meters above sea level. Lunch in Chefchaouen, then continue to Fes, the cultural stronghold of the country. We will dine in the charming Medina, with its medieval atmosphere, artisan shops, rich aromas, and vibrant colors, making it feel like a true leap into the past. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Fes - Merzouga

Approximately 460 km - Departure through the Kandar valleys (cedar forest) and Tafilalet (date valley) to the edge of the Sahara Desert. Lunch near Midelt. After lunch, continue to arrive in the small town of Merzouga, an oasis nestled among gigantic sand dunes up to 250 meters high and stretching over 20 km. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Merzouga - Merzouga

You have two options, you must choose one:

  • Option 1: You should wake up early to watch the most spectacular sunrise you’ve ever seen, atop a dune near the camp, and enjoy this breathtaking landscape. After sunrise, you’ll have breakfast before heading towards Merzouga on camels. Then, we’ll cross the Erg Chebbi, a sandy desert extension where the Great Dune of Morocco rises more than 250 meters high. Along the way, we will see nomadic settlements and learn their secrets and customs. Our next stop will be at a viewpoint to contemplate the Erg Chebbi. We’ll then reach the village of Kamilia, originally from Mali, where we will enjoy a relaxing tea. Transfer back to the hotel, and the afternoon is free to enjoy the city or the dunes next to the hotel to watch the sunset. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
  • Option 2: After breakfast, we will slowly visit the surroundings of the Ouzina desert, reaching the authentic nomads of the Sahara in the Ouzina area. We can have a welcoming tea with them (you may tip them at least 5 euros or buy some items they sell). From there, we will take some photos of the red mountains shaped like a Tajine and proceed to the Barite mines to see the mine and how it works. The workers descend into the shafts down to about 50 meters deep and extract Barite, a mineral they take to Europe, where they produce glass. At noon, we will eat at a Berber family’s home in the village of Ouzina (welcoming tea, salad, Berber pizza), where you can also get a henna tattoo from a person specialized in this art (it’s necessary to tip the henna girl), and we’ll rest a bit after eating. If you’re interested, you can take a walk around the village of Ouzina and its oasis. In the afternoon, we will head to the dunes of Erg Ouzina to watch the sunset among the dunes of this wild and untouched desert, in total silence, then return to the hotel where we will spend the night.

Day 4: Merzouga - Boumalne Dades

Approximately 340 km - Continue to Tinerhir until the Todra Gorges to admire the massive rock formations with impressive fissures. Lunch in a restaurant in Tinerhir, and in the afternoon, visit the Dades Valley with its unique pinnacles and breathtaking landscapes. Arrival at the hotel in the late afternoon, dinner, and overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Boumalne Dades - Marrakech

Approximately 325 km - Departure to Marrakech via Tizin Tichka (the highest pass in Morocco at 2,260 meters), with a stop at Ait Ben Haddou to visit the famous Kasbah, fortified and classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lunch in a restaurant and in the afternoon, continue with arrival in Marrakech in the late afternoon. Free dinner, recommended visit to the Jamaa el Fna square, particularly stunning from sunset until late at night. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6: Marrakech - Casablanca

After breakfast, departure to Casablanca. Casablanca is considered the industrial and economic heart of Morocco. It is one of the largest cities in Morocco, with a population of about 3 million people. It is a modern city. In the heart of Casablanca, you will find one of Morocco’s most beautiful works, built in recent years (1986) by King Hassan II. It is the largest mosque in North Africa with the tallest minaret, 210 meters long. It is the only mosque in Morocco that Christians and Jews can visit. Dinner and overnight at a hotel in Casablanca.

Day 7: Casablanca - Tangier

Departure towards Cap Spartel, where the ocean meets the Mediterranean Sea. We will have lunch with a view of the ocean, and in the afternoon, head down to Tangier. If time permits, a short visit, then directly to the port via a scenic road.
Here your journey ends, and we hope you enjoyed it and look forward to a future visit.
