Tour Plan
Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades
Setting off from Marrakech at 7 am, we traverse the Atlas Mountains, pausing to capture photos of the breathtaking scenery along the way. Our visit includes the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO-listed 16th-century fortress renowned for its appearance in numerous acclaimed movies like Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, and Kingdom of Heaven. Lunch break offers free time. Continuing our journey, we explore Ouarzazate, the Rose Valley, and finally, the Dades Valley, where we dine and spend the night amidst the stunning Dades Gorges.
Day 2: Dades - Tinghir - Todra Gorges – Merzouga
After breakfast, we head to Tinghir to explore the Todra Gorges before traveling through the Ziz Valley toward Erfoud. Our path leads us to Merzouga (Erg Chebbi). Welcomed with refreshing mint tea at the hostel, we embark on a camel ride to our overnight tents, relishing the mesmerizing dune vistas and a captivating sunset. A delightful dinner awaits under the starry night.
Day 3: Merzouga - Rissani - Alnif - Agdez - Ouarzazate - Marrakech
An early morning sunrise experience awaits. After breakfast at the lodge, we begin our return journey to Marrakech. En route, we visit Rissani, the ancestral home of Morocco’s Alaouite dynasty. Passing through Alnif, Tinghir, Dades, the Valley of Roses, and Ouarzazate, we cross the Atlas Mountains once again, arriving in Marrakech around 7:00 pm.
